What is Interim Marketing?

Many companies do not require permanent marketing staff, but there may be a shortage of management time or expertise to carry out the marketing function. Marketing is therefore not given the resources it needs, resulting in reduced sales. An interim marketing service will provide the required level of marketing expertise, including perhaps to identify the development of existing staff to take on some of the marketing function.

Some organisations identify a development opportunity or project but do not have the marketing expertise within their group.  Interim marketing provides this service for them, at a level that they need and can afford, working with the members of the group until the project is completed.

Some companies have identified the need for a permanent marketing support but dont know exactly what is required.  By undertaking this role for a while, interim marketing can help provide a clear brief for the duties, expertise and time required for recruiting marketing personnel

A flexible service

Interim marketing is custom-designed marketing expertise without the employment overheads. The level of service depends on the marketing requirement and can be from providing marketing policy and strategy to creating a promotional plan, managing campaigns and hands-on delivery of promotions. The project can be short or long term, providing a specific amount of days to complete the project or a certain amount of hours each week. Promotional systems can be generated in-house and the transfer or marketing skills so that staff have the confidence to take on future marketing projects.
